Loaded with weapons and a host of information on his phone, Mo made his way back to the car, all the time nervous about the guns he carried in the backpack he had just been given. He feared that, at any time, some patrolling police officer might decide he wanted to see what he was carrying. He knew he looked suspicious. He certainly felt it, and what was it that all these cops on TV shows said? That they could spot someone acting suspiciously? He might as well have been brandishing a gun. But he saw no officer and made it back safe.

When he reached the car, he decided to place them in the boot, just to ease his own mind. They were travelling after all, what good would they be?

“Did it go okay?” Jack asked as Mo sat down in the passenger seat.

“They’re happy for us to scout the location first. They’re putting together their own team. They’ll be about an hour behind.”

“That works for me. Have we got a muster point?”

“Yeah.” Kasim had programmed some coordinates into Mo’s phone, prior to handing it over to him, and Mo brought them up on the map screen.

“No problem,” Jack said. “It’ll take us about an hour to get there.”

“They should be just mobilising by then,” Mo reported.

“Then we best get cracking. If you want to get some sleep, be my guest. I reckon you’ve had a long day.”

“Thanks, Jack,” Mo said. He didn’t think he’d be able to get much rest, but the offer was welcome all the same.

He was wrong, however. He lay his head against the window of the car, felt the vibrations as it started up, then drifted off into slumber.
